All the information you will need on the upcoming Texas Wildlife Diversity Conference can be found right here! Everyone is invited to participate in the 2008 Wildlife Diversity Conference that is being co-sponsored by Texas Parks and Wildlife Department (TPWD) and the Houston Zoo, Incorporated. The Diversity Conference will be held on January 17-19, 2008 at the Houston Zoo’s Brown Education Center, Houston, TX.
BENEFITS OF ATTENDING THIS CONFERENCE
1. There will be two major benefits to attending this conference:

Be a part of the implementation of the Texas Wildlife Action Plan (TWAP). This plan was developed by TPWD and multiple partners from 2004-2005 to comply with the requirements of the State Wildlife Grant program which is a national grant program designed to keep “common species common.”

To present research being conducted in the state of Texas on nongame species.
2. To publish an abstract of your paper in our conference proceedings.
3. To network with other professionals.
4. To receive feedback on your research and commentary.
Conference proceedings will be published under the title “2008 Texas Wildlife Diversity Conference – Implementation through Partnerships,” CD-Rom and/or online.
